...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON 
TO 11 AM MST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 19 below expected.

* WHERE...Central Highlands, Estancia Valley, Curry County, 
  Roosevelt County, Upper Rio Grande Valley, and Northeast Highlands.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 AM MST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as will threaten 
  hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will rise above wind chill 
  criteria today, remaining very cold however before plummeting 
  again to dangerous levels tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must 
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap, drain or allow them to 
drip slowly.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure

  Including Raton Pass.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 5 PM MST this
