At 617 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 12 miles southeast of Kim, or 34 miles southwest of Springfield, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and tennis ball size hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud half way to the ground. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
