...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM EDT FOR WEST
CENTRAL CALHOUN AND NORTH CENTRAL ORANGEBURG COUNTIES...
At 616 AM EDT, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located 8 miles northwest of Brookdale, moving east at 55 mph.
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.
IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.
This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
west central Calhoun and north central Orangeburg Counties.
This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 134 and 145.
