...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT FOR
WESTERN BRADFORD COUNTY...
At 1228 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and an additional
two inches or more is expected into the afternoon. Numerous roads
are already flooded with Route 6 and 14 closed. Major flash flooding
is expected along many small streams and creeks as the additional
heavy rain falls. This is a dangerous situation and if you live in a
flood prone area be prepared to act quickly to protect lives and
property.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Ridgebury, Canton, West Franklin, Troy, South Waverly, West
Burlington, Monroe, Sylvania and Alba.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
