...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR
CHILTON...PERRY AND SOUTHERN BIBB COUNTIES...

At 121 PM CDT, Emergency Management as well as reports from social
media confirm that flash flooding is still ongoing over the warned
area. The most significant flooding was reported in the City of
Marion in Perry County and Clanton in Chilton County. Multiple
roadways have been deemed impassible, and some roadways have
completely washed out. Due to 6 to 8 inches of rainfall that has
been estimated by radar, heavy runoff will continue for the next
couple of hours over the warned area. Streams and creeks are already
overflowing their banks.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clanton, Brent, Marion, Centreville, Jemison, Thorsby, Maplesville,
Newbern, Billingsley, Gap Of The Mountain, Vaiden, Parnell, West
Centreville, Heiberger, Verbena, Plecher, Lawley, Mitchell Lake and
Ashby.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
