Chilton County in central Alabama...
Perry County in central Alabama...
Southern Bibb County in central Alabama...
* Until 315 PM CDT Wednesday.
* At 803 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms continuing to
produce heavy rain across the warned area. Flash Flooding has
already been reported across Chilton County.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Perry, Bibb and Chilton
Counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND NOW!
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clanton, Brent, Marion, Centreville, Jemison, Thorsby,
Maplesville, Newbern, Billingsley, Gap Of The Mountain, Vaiden,
Parnell, West Centreville, Heiberger, Verbena, Plecher, Lawley,
Mitchell Lake and Ashby.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
