The National Weather Service in Quad Cities  has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Jones County in east central Iowa...
  Southeastern Delaware County in northeastern Iowa...
  Northeastern Linn County in east central Iowa...

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 635 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Central City, or 14 miles west of Anamosa, moving
  east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Waubeek around 640 PM CDT. 
  Prairieburg around 645 PM CDT. 
  Stone City around 650 PM CDT. 
  Anamosa around 655 PM CDT. 
  Monticello and Langworthy around 705 PM CDT. 

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Pinicon Ridge Park, Camp Courageous, Scotch Grove, Matsell Bridge
Natural Area, Jones County Fairgrounds, Pictured Rocks Wildlife Area,
Buffalo Creek Park, Howard H Cherry Scout Reservation, Monticello
Municipal Airport and Linn  County Fairgrounds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
