The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
South central Perry County in south central Illinois...
Northern Jackson County in southern Illinois...
* Until 900 PM CST
* At 820 PM CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado
was located near Rockwood, or 10 miles southeast of Chester,
moving east at 45 mph.
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. This tornadic storm
has produced significant damage, including flipping cars
over on Interstate 55. If you live in the Ava and
Campbell Hill area, you need to be under ground now.
IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete
destruction is possible.
