In case you are not sick of seeing blue and red state maps yet, today's IEM Daily Feature adds another to the pile. The map presents an IEM computed rank for year to date tornado warnings by state. A value of "1" indicates the lowest total over the period since 2002. A value of "23" would be the highest. There are certainly some interesting contrasts shown over the country a clear deficit shown over the "Dixie Alley" states of Mississippi and Alabama. The states of New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Florida are indicated as having the most for this period.
