Elevated levels of humidity returned to the state over the weekend and made a noticeable difference in how things felt outside. The featured chart presents the last three weeks of dew point readings from the Ames Airport. Our recent stretches with a dew point above 70 have been rather brief and it would appear that drier air will work into the state by the middle of this week. Having elevated humidity is a good thing as it helps to feed thunderstorms, which are desperately needed to bring more rainfall to the state.
