July is the hottest month of the year for Iowa and so it is nice treat for the weather we have experienced the past few days. The featured chart presents the combination of daily high and low temperature observations from Des Moines along with the long term climatology. If you look closely, the climatology line does start to slope downwards this time of year as last week was the peak for temperature. We'll have a few more pleasant days this week before the heat and humidity build again.
