URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Des Moines IA
310 AM CST Wed Mar 5 2025

...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS TODAY WITH INTENSE WINDS AND SNOW...

.A strong early spring system will continue to affect Iowa today.
Strong northwest winds will persist for much of the day, with gusts
to 50-65 mph at times, before diminishing late. With snow still
falling across much of the area this morning, blizzard conditions
will continue until the snow gradually ends from west to east by
this afternoon. Even then, the strong winds will continue to blow
snow around prolonging difficult travel conditions.
