The National Weather Service in Hanford has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Rain and Snowmelt in...
  Northern Fresno County in central California...
  Central Madera County in central California...

* Until 100 PM PST.

* At 1046 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly. Rapid snowmelt is also occurring and will add to the 
  flooding.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Oakhurst, Crane Valley Reservoir, North Fork, Bass Lake, Peckinpah 
  and Auberry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
