* Flash Flood Warning for...
  St. Helena Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Northwestern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Northeastern Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Washington Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Walthall County in southern Mississippi...
  Pike County in southern Mississippi...
  Southeastern Amite County in southern Mississippi...
  Northwestern Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...

* Until 245 AM CST Friday.

* At 813 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. 3 to as much as 10 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Hammond, Mccomb, Bogalusa, Franklinton, Greensburg, Amite,
  Ponchatoula, Amite City, Magnolia, Kentwood, Livingston,
  Independence, Tylertown, Varnado, Roseland, Albany, Folsom,
  Springfield, Osyka and Montpelier.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
