...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM CDT FOR
LAKE AND MCHENRY COUNTIES...

At 1024 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already 
fallen. Flash flooding is expected if not already occurring. 
Thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall will continue through 
the early overnight hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling,
Northbrook, North Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein, Algonquin, Highland
Park, McHenry, Vernon Hills, Woodstock, Zion, Grayslake,
Libertyville, Lake Zurich, Lake Forest and Round Lake.

Including the following interstates...
 I-90 between mile markers 38 and 47.
 I-94 between mile markers 1 and 26.
 I-294 between mile markers 1 and 26.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
